Hereís how this role performs at Shepherd:

In this valued position, you will ensure that the American Nursing Association (ANA) scope and standards of practice and the code of ethics for nurses are the foundation of nursing practice here at Shepherd Center.

Your patients will depend on you to collect patient health data to determine diagnoses, identify expected outcomes individualized to the patient, develop a plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain the expected outcomes, implement the interventions identified in the plan of care, and evaluate the patientís progress toward attainment of the outcomes, working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

You will also be responsible for promoting high quality care, outcomes, nursing research and evidence based practice and contributes to building and maintaining a strong environment that facilitates collaboration to achieve quality outcomes. 

Through this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the professional development and image of all unit staff practicing in a Open Governance model of nursing practice.

A degree from accredited school of nursing, an active Georgia RN license, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are required, as well as some experience. For nurses in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Shepherd Pain Institute, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required within six months of hiring. Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) is preferred.
