Here’s how this role performs at Shepherd:

As the Access Team Leader, your team will depend on you to coordinate all functions related to admissions, including scheduling, registration, verification, pre-certification and /or financial counseling. You will also serve as the liaison between OP Access, IP Access and SC physicians, outside physician offices, staff, patients, PFS and payors. In this collaborative and hand-on role, the Access Team Leader will have to opportunity to thrive in a dynamic work environment.

You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and evaluating all activities related to daily admissions; developing, updating, and maintaining the computer system based on admission needs; auditing system information and makes corrections to ensure accurate and complete information.

One to two years of college course work is required, with a college degree being preferred. Five years of scheduling, registration, re-certification and pre-certification experience is required, preferably in an outpatient health care setting, as well as experience with similar systems (T4, SMS, Crystal Report Writing).  Two years supervisory experience required. Certification in CPAR, CHAA, or CHAM is preferred.
