RN - PRN Outpatient MS

The Andrew C. Carlos Multiple Sclerosis Institute at Shepherd Center has extensive experience treating people with multiple sclerosis (MS), suspected MS or related disorders. The MS Institute has treated thousands of people with MS using a wide range of neurological and rehabilitative services. 

We believe that early and appropriate treatment results in better quality of life for people with MS and may protect against future illness. Our staff of medical professionals works aggressively to slow the progression of the disease.  

Multiple sclerosis treatment options focus on medications, physical rehabilitation (including strength and energy conservation) and experimental therapies. The MS Institute at Shepherd Center offers comprehensive evaluations, diagnostics, rehabilitation services and treatment options through FDA-approved drugs and new clinical trials.

Work Hour Requirements: Clinic hours are Monday through Friday 8-4:30. MS Institute is seeking a PRN RN position for the right individual.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for patient check in, assessment, and medication administration. Other duties include but are not limited to: education in medication, injection training, bowel and bladder management, phlebotomy, and patient and family education. RN may be required to function as an outpatient infusion nurse in the MS Institute Infusion Center.

-          Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia.

-          Two years of nursing experience in either hospital or clinic setting.

-          Detailed oriented with excellent organization skills.

-          Active BLS required, ACLS preferred.

-          MSCN preferred, not required.
