In this multifaceted position, your team will depend on you for the design, building, testing, validation, maintenance and ongoing support of Clinical or Revenue Cycle Applications.  You will have the opportunity to collaborate across interdisciplinary workgroups to accomplish set goals for you team. 

You will also be responsible as a representative of the Information Systems team and will be in charge of establishing, fostering and maintaining positive business relationships with Shepherd co-workers; interdisciplinary workgroups; clinical and financial department representatives; Piedmont Healthcare and Epic partners; and all other staff who use or interact with the Epic application suite.

This dynamic role will allow you to analyze multiple complex situations to create and implement solutions; work effectively in a team environment; be self-motivated and self-disciplined; communicate clearly and accurately in both verbal and written mode; accurately and concisely describe problems and solutions; focus on details; coordinate and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.

Other duties will include gathering and analyzing operational workflows, technical requirements, and functional specifications for Epic modules; populating master tables and system files in accordance with established guidelines and standards; collecting requirements and specifications for operational reports and data extracts; identifying and troubleshooting issues that arise within application areas, as well as issues that impact other application teams.

Candidates must have a Bachelorís degree from a recognized college or university with major course work in computer science, information systems, engineering, or equivalent related experience. In addition, a minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in clinical, business, or other healthcare operational areas. This position requires that the appropriate Epic certification be successfully obtained for a specific area of assigned responsibility within the first 90 days of employment.
